Genaro’s Trip to Consensus 2018 and Token Summit III
New York, May 14–17 — In Mid-May Genaro CSO Jason Inch joined CTO Waylon Wu at two of the most prestigious blockchain conferences in the United States: Consensus and the Token Summit.

With over 250 speakers and 4000 participants, the Consensus event at the Hilton Midtown was an intensive and wide-ranging one, with ample opportunities for industry players and developers to account for the present state of blockchain and cryptocurrencies and their immediate future. Jason Inch spoke with multiple founders and others in the cryptospace, stating afterward that Consensus provided the chance to “get a lot done in a short time.” Among those Jason spoke to were Robin Lee of HelloGold and David Siegal of the Pillar project. Each HelloGold HG is an inclusive finance project that gives individuals in emerging economies a way to invest even small amounts of money in physical gold, with ownership secured by the blockchain. The Pillar project meanwhile shares with Genaro a concern over restoring control over personal data to those who create it and own it.

Of Token Summit III, Jason added, “It was the second time for me to attend a Token Summit event and I saw at least double the amount of people if not more than the last time. Unlike Consensus, which contained a lot of enterprise content this year, TS is more about blockchain project leaders sharing ideas through fireside chats and panel discussions. It was good to hear first-hand their thoughts on 2018 themes such as interoperability, token economics, and usability, all important to taking DAPPs and blockchains beyond mere investment speculation.” While only in attendance for a day, Waylon and Jason were able to meet dozens of people at Token Summit and even ran into a number of Genaro project supporters at the event.

Waylon Wu said of the trip that it was a good chance to meet old acquaintances such as “Matthew from Etherscan and friends previously encountered in Dgroup, as well as friends from Wall Street, from the Bay Area and many others during ‘crypto week’. Generally, this was a warm and convivial time during which we spoke about both crypto dreams and reality. These were some really good times in New York.”

Genaro Eden — The first decentralized application on the Genaro Network, providing everyone with a trustworthy Internet and a sharing community:
- About Genaro Network -
The Genaro Network, the creator of the Blockchain 3.0 Ecosystem, is the first Turing-complete public chain that incorporates a decentralized storage network. Genaro’s original SPoR (Sentinel Proof of Retrievability) with PoS (Proof of Stake) mixed consensus mechanism aims to create a blockchain platform with a processing speed of tens of thousands of transactions per second, which opens the way for the technological shift to move data from centralized clouds to blockchain with decentralized storage. Genaro offers developers a one-stop combined platform for deploying smart contracts and storing the data needed for DAPPs, while also providing everyone with a more trustworthy Internet and a sharing community.
