Here’s selection of some of the questions that Andrea addressed and her answers:

Why is Genaro’s focus still on the Chinese community, despite current challenges in China?

Despite the changes and uncertainty of the current context, Genaro’s team has its deepest roots in China and has supporters across the surrounding region. We have been blessed to have growing interest from the mainland and have always sought to leverage interest from the international community with Chinese interest, thus creating bonds between the west and east… Genaro is now planning to initiate communities across Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Wuhan and Hangzhou.

What is the Chinese community support program and what are its objectives?

There are a number of aspects to discuss in answering this question, let me go through the list accordingly.

Technical aspects:

  1. To recruit the best talents to improve the technical growth of the blockchain project.
  2. To launch community cooperation, organize and take part in various activities and work continuously with the best talents on- and offline.
  3. To promote sharing among the technical community, through the use of contribution codes to get node rewards, and so on.

For the forum section:

  1. In 2018, Genaro will hold a monthly offline sharing conference to invite well-known blockchain projects both at home and abroad to share accounts of their business development, as well as the social aspects of blockchain technology.
  2. Genaro Meetups will also be held in various urban communities to promote the concept and technology of Blockchain 3.0.
  3. At the same time, Genaro will invite unicorn companies to make cross-border visits, as well as social influence organizations to share more discussions with us.

How is the progress and management of Community growth going?

At the moment we have four major channels of community management that are scaling quickly: Chinese has been followed by English, Russian and Korean channels, making a network that contains representatives from over 60 countries, with plans to eventually have 20 Community evangelists and 2000 Ambassadors growing the communities at the grassroots level… At present, there are about 20, 000 members when all channels are combined.

How is Genaro testing its chain?

Genaro’s chain tests and other research are being conducted and are in full swing. We are teaming up with Fudan University to develop the Eden project, which will be officially launched at the end of December, while we expect to launch the Genaro public chain main net in September 2018. I hope all of you will take part in this project so that we can gather as many valuable suggestions as possible.

What are the reliable sources of information acquisition from/by Genaro?

Telegram is our most interactive way to communicate with the community. But all info related to the latest updates will be published in our blog, and across all social media channels as well. Please follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and elsewhere using the name “GenaroNetwork”

How long will it take to accomplish Genaro’s Blockchain 3.0 concept?

With Genaro’s Blockchain 3.0, storage is combined with the backbone of the blockchain. Furthermore, it is possible for enterprises to deploy DAPPs in the chain in a way that will realize the usage scenario. After the DAPP deployment is completed, the user’s experience and input will truly realize Blockchain 3.0. For Blockchain 3.0 to succeed, the following stages must be reached: first, we launch our own public chain, releasing the first ecosystem built on a Turing-complete public chain with decentralized storage; next, developers and enterprises will use this chain to build DAPPs, and attract a serious community of users; with this solid proof of concept in place, more and more DAPPs will be built on the Genaro chain. In total, this process will take upwards of two years, but applications today are already being deployed on the Genaro test net and the system is operational.

How secure is the Genaro blockchain and the data stored on it?

Genaro is a decentralized storage platform, and storage is voluntarily chosen by each user or developer. Unlike the centralized network, where files are completely backed up and can be completely leaked or replaced, in a distributed storage network each file will be divided into many blocks and encrypted. The user can choose different levels of security as well. The files are scattered and no one on the chain can access a complete file that is not theirs.

Is there a permanent resident team in the domestic community?
Currently, there is a development team in Shanghai.

Why is the project named Genaro?

Genaro is a word we define to mean universal generation of value, and its core idea is to communicate the simplicity of the blockchain so that non-tech savvy people can understand its beauty and use it just like we use our cell phones today. Thus, we stayed away from technical terms, and decided to be ‘Genaro.’

Conclusion:

As a public chain, the most important mission is to allow more DAPPs to carry out organic development in our network. Building a public chain is about playing the role of a platform, a community organizer and a volunteer. Providing technical and community support is necessary not only from the technical level but also from the basic question of functional storage and usage. From the financial perspective, the more blockchain companies, projects, and activities that can leverage our public chain for their purposes, the better.

There is still a long way to go to become a publicly acknowledged public chain. Much like building any company at an exciting time, many things will influence the course of development: the presence of many competitors, the bonds and morale of the core team, the vagaries of the marketplace and the public’s perception of the technology.

However, establishing Genaro’s ecosystem is not enough; relying on the power of only a few people is not the smartest move. Therefore, we hope that more and more partners will join us to contribute to Genaro’s own efforts.

Genaro aims to provide a better platform for cross-community and cross-chain exchange with other useful blockchain projects from a technical and operational perspective.

We hope that our values and community-centric activities, along with the public chain concept, will inspire developers, programmers, and users to join Genaro and enjoy its benefits.
