Genaro CEO and CTO Attend the Young Scientist Forum at Huazhong University

Genaro founders took up an invitation to attend the Young Scientist Forum at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, Hubei.

Genaro CEO Larry Liu and CTO Waylon Wu were invited to attend the Second Cyberspace Security Yuyuan Young Scientists’ Forum held at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan from May 5 to 6, 2018. The forum was sponsored by the School of Computer Science and Technology, Huazhong University itself, the Key Laboratory of Service Computing Technology and Systems of the Ministry of Education. It also benefitted from support by the Wuhan Internet Information Office and the National Cyber Security Talent and Innovation Base.

The Wuhan forum brought together more than 50 experts from various backgrounds in the field of cyberspace security, including Shen Changxiang, the current Standing Committee of the Information and Electronic Engineering Department of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Jin Hai, Director of Key Laboratory of Service Computing Technology and Systems of Ministry of Education from Huazhong and Associate Professor Liang Zhenkai from the National University of Singapore. There were also experts and scholars from Chinese universities including Tsinghua, Peking, Zhejiang, Fudan, Shanghai Jiaotong, Wuhan, Sun Yat-sen, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Xi’an Jiaotong, Shaanxi Normal and Hong Kong City University.

Returning to his alma mater to participate in the Forum of Young Scientists, Larry, as a keynote speaker, shared his perspective on the seven major challenges and solutions for public blockchains. Specifically, these 7 major challenges are:

Talking about attending the forum, Larry said it was his great pleasure to be able to communicate with a number of professors and scholars and share Genaro’s visions with them. What’s more, he also hoped that more insightful and talented people would join Genaro in promoting the development of the underlying technology of the blockchain. While CTO Waylon focused more on the technical side, speaking highly of the “Trusted Computing 3.0” framework designed by Dean Shen, one of the key speakers. In addition, Waylon believed that there are still many aspects worth learning in the future. At the same time, Genaro is looking for more opportunities to cooperate with high-quality projects or organizations to unleash the potential of blockchain technology.

The forum also saw the reunion of developers now crafting an active and ambitious collaboration. On April 24th this year, blockchain projects Genaro and Zilliqa announced a new partnership to increase the speed and scalability of blockchain technology and accelerate the development of ecosystems. The equation of the exchange runs thus:

Genaro + Zilliqa = Greater Storage Capacity and Greater Speed on a highly scalable Public Chain.

Zilliqa’s CTO Yaoqi Jia also attended as a guest of the forum and had an in-depth technical discussion with Larry and Waylon.

- About Genaro Network -

The Genaro Network, the creator of the Blockchain 3.0 Ecosystem, is the first Turing-complete public chain that incorporates a decentralized storage network. Genaro’s original SPoR (Sentinel Proof of Retrievability) with PoS (Proof of Stake) mixed consensus mechanism aims to create a blockchain platform with a processing speed of tens of thousands of transactions per second, which opens the way for the technological shift to move data from centralized clouds to blockchain with decentralized storage. Genaro offers developers a one-stop combined platform for deploying smart contracts and storing the data needed for DAPPs, while also providing everyone with a more trustworthy Internet and a sharing community.
