An Indepth Analysis of Genaro Mixed Consensus Mechanism: What Is a Higher Efficient Public Chain for Big Data Processing?

The unique SpoR+PoS Consensus Mechanism created by Genaro, is said to be a higher efficient public chain for processing big data. This article will present an indepth analysis of it, thus you could easily understand the complicated technology adopted by Genaro.

Background and Common Sense

PoS, refers to Proof of Stake, a consensus mechanism of blockchain. This proof system does not require provers to finish a certain number of calculations, but require them to demonstrate the ownership of stake for some calculations. The key point of PoS is about how to properly select nodes for proof.

PoR, refers to Proof of Retrievability, a file system to prove the existence and integrity of a target file. A file will be split and encrypted, once it is uploaded to the file system through client. When retrieving a file, the client could recover it completely.

SPoR, refers to Sentinel Proof of Retrievability, an modified algorithm of traditional PoR. It sets “sentinel” to detect the retrievability of data. When splitting a file, each fragments will produce a hash value, the “sentinel”, and then it is sent to the randomly selected node, the “challenger”. Whenever the client reads files, sentinels in challengers will calculate the proof of data retrievability, and the randomly selected challengers could avoid malicious destructive calculation according to the game theory, which could greatly improve the proof calculation speed in files reading, thus to increase the files reading speed.

Genaro SpoR+PoS Mixed Consensus Mechanism

Just suppose there is a DAPP (decentralized application/blockchain application) developed on Genaro Network, and certain behaviors of it could transmit data and carry out transaction. When reading data, in the steps of SPoR, challengers complete their challenges and realize the proof of data retrievability, and at the same time they are confirmed as reliable nodes by Genaro Network. When recording the transaction on the blockchain, the PoS will be adopted, and the participating provers are challengers confirmed as reliable nodes. This not only solves the problem of stake node selection, but also achieves a high efficient selection, because once there is a transaction, those nodes have already been confirmed.

The product modality of Genaro Network consists of two parts: Turing completed public chain and a decentralized storage network, which are perfectly integrated through Mixed Consensus Mechanism. ETH has over 20,000 nodes and the generation time for 1 block is about 13 seconds. In comparison, after trust screening, Genaro reaches PoS trust consensus within 200 nodes, which is much faster and more efficient than ETH.

Now Genaro is committed to establishing its storage network with a scale of tens of thousands of nodes at an early stage. After achieving the PB scale and passing feasibility test, it will be further expanded to meet business level requirements.

In other words, developers can deploy Genaro-based smart contracts and store the DAPP customer data at the same time with just one click. In contrast in the current solution, on the one hand, developers need to deploy smart contracts at ETH; on the other hand, they also need to store data in central servers such as Amazon or Aliyun or decentralized storage networks such as IPFS. In the first place, for developers, it requires more than twice of development workload to write protocols for different platforms. More importantly, as there is no “1+1>2” effect in this case, and two independent systems are of low efficiency in practice, Genaro will provide a high-efficiency one-click platform for developers.

Practical significance of Genaro Network

As a blockchain bottom technology, Genaro leads the technological revolution to turn“cloud” into “blockchain”.

As a Blockchain 3.0 Ecology, Genaro can be the basis for development of hundreds or even thousands of enforceable DAPPs.

As a one-stop development platform, Genaro enables developers to deploy smart contracts and store the data needed for DAPP at the same time.

As a more trustworthy network, Genaro ensures that all Genaro Network-based DAPPs will not steal or utilize user’s private data.

As a sharing community, Genaro enables everyone to share unused storage space for rewards and use the super VIP storage space at an ultra-low price.

About Genaro Network

Genaro Network, the creator of Blockchain 3.0 Ecology, is the first Turing Completed public chain that incorporates a decentralized storage network. Genaro’s original SPoR (Sentinel Proof of Retrievability) + PoS (Proof of Stake) mixed consensus mechanism aims to create a blockchain platform with a processing speed of million instructions per second for big data, which is the infrastructural technological revolution turning “cloud” into “blockchain”. Genaro provides blockchain developers a one-stop platform to deploy smart contracts and store the data needed by DAPP simultaneously, while providing everyone with a more trustworthy Internet and sharing community.
